If an electric stove will not start, first be sure the stove power cord is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, then another part will need to be repaired. The cause of the problem could be the surface element, infinite switch, igniter or broil and bake element.
A stove or burner with no heat does not do much good. Your oven does not heat if there is a broken bake element or oven sensor. Your burner will not turn on when an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We can repair these common problems in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.
You can assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken if the timer or program functions are not working. If that’s the case, we know how to replace control boards on Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer replacement parts we use for this type of stove repair service.
You always want a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is extremely hot, it could be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen know how to identify the location of the issue and then repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and totally unpredictable heat.
A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.
Modern self-cleaning ovens are known to have door problems often. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open and then complete the repair in order to correct the issue.
